Weekly Wrap 10/29 – 11/2/07

Summary:
Closed out October with a stunning 24% gain. Dry bulkers were up and down as was NRF. I think that’s the best month I ever had. XSI, ALSWF, and SNEN did well as did some of my mining stocks.November began down but I had a strong day on Friday to close out another outsized week.

Trades included selling HTE and some ERF, shorting KBH, closing my HLS short, and adding SNEN and NRF. Some savy people are saying oil is peaking short-term so I’m getting out. HLS has been surging recently and I other ideas interest me more than following this any longer — I leave with a small profit. I’ve given the case for SNEN and NRF in previous entries. I will continue to add on weakness as long as the stories remains the same.

I remain optimistic but my caution is increasing. I’m having a very good run. Nothing says it can’t last for a while longer, but I’m growing wary anyway.
